We are currently aware of an issue where some tenement holders may have received incorrect historic reminder messages generated from outdated pre‑MERS datasets.

These messages may reference historical lodgement periods and may include out‑of‑date holder names or contact details.

The matter is under active investigation and is being treated as a priority.


SMS Verifications

We are aware that the 6‑digit verification codes sent via SMS for logging into the MERS Portal no longer appear as coming from “SAGov.” Instead, the messages are currently being delivered from +61 448 287 204.

This is a known issue within the department, and we are actively working to restore the correct sender identification. Please be assured that these messages are still legitimately sent by SAGov, and there is no cause for concern.
